I Love and So Appreciate This Girl!!

Hardworking, Honest, Motivated, Sweet, Helpful, Self Starter, is just a few words to describe this person. Andrea worked for us as a teen at Chic-N-More. She started to work at 16 and stayed with us for years and worked her way up to a Management Position. Robert almost did not hire her because when she came in for the interview she was dressed real nice and he told her "he could not picture her mopping floors and scrubbing bathrooms". She told him "just give me a chance and I will show you" and SHE DID!! She is still working for us at United Country River City Realty. She is on time and is always busy. She will find something to do. She has no down time. She can't sit still. I have described her as a "Hummingbird in a Shoe Box" Jim Graves our RVP describes her as a "Rat Terrier On Acid".LOL She never stops. She is a great mother to two wonderful Boys, Hunter and Tanner. She is married to a really nice guy, Chris and they make such a cute couple.

She is always there for anyone who needs her. Which I do a lot. She is always trying to help make my job easier, even when she has more than she can do. I have told everyone the she is the only person I know that I would trust with; My Money, My Husband and My Kids(and now my grandbaby too) I can't really thank her enough for going above and beyond what is expected of her. So, Thank you Andrea for everything you do and I hope we will work together until we are too old to work!!

What A Day!!

We have had a typical Monday. Internet and email problems a Plenty. We finally got it worked out after everyone passing the buck(and not in a good way). Everyone wanted to blame the problem on someone else! But we are up and running at River City Realty. Tootie came by for a visit and it was just what I needed after the day I had. She can make any day brighter, just like the picture of the sun setting over Pickwick Lake(above). She was right behind her Baw Baw every step he took. He could not come out of his office without her running down the hall to chase after him. She loves him so much. Well tomorrow is Tuesday and maybe things will settle down.

Are they Cool or What??? This picture was taken on Fourth of July 2008. I laughed when these two walked in the door, both wearing sunglasses and caps. Tony is such a good daddy. Addie loves him so much. They have so much fun together. We can be on the phone talkin' to Tony about something and every time he is laughing at something that Addie is doing!! Tony is a good husband to Kelly too. We are so blessed that Kelly has married a man who is a Christian and is living the life of a Christian. Addie is a blessed little girl too. God has given them many blessings and I can't wait to see what else is in store for them!!

Addie Says "Chase"!!!

Ok, Here is the Deal. This Precious Child Holds my Whole Heart in these tiny little hands. Robert and I had her for a few hours this afternoon and I am in Awe every time I see her. What she has learned just lately, amazes me. She started Hollering today for Chase. Out of the Blue she just started calling him by name. It was so plain. She is learning things so fast. She is growing up so fast too. It is hard to take it all in. We had such a good time with her. When she is here she never stops, so guess what? Neither do we!! Robert and I don't try to handle her when it is just one of us....She loves her "Baw Baw" so much. They have gotten to every time she is here they eat watermelon together. I don't know what we will do when winter gets here and we can't get any watermelon??? We have Robert's old cell phone that we let her play with and tonight she turned it on!! She puts it up to ear and says "Ello"??? Well there is so much more to say, but then I would just be a Ramblin' Grandma!!! I just want to say I love ya so much Tootie!! I wish you could understand just how much!! Maybe you Do???

SUPPER TIME!!

Supper time around here is sometimes quick and easy and sometimes we have time to cook. This was one of those cookin' days.. The roast was cooked in the Crock Pot. Brown a roast put it in the crock pot with one can of cream of celery soup and a chunked up onion and turn it on. It is that easy. The tomatoes were good and fresh and the slaw was just as easy.

EASY SLAW

Bag of Cabbage
Mayo
Salt
Pepper
Sugar

Pour it all in a large zip lock bag, and knead the bag. No mess to clean up and no bowl to wash. You can store the leftovers right in the bag. The kids could do this!!!

There are lots of days I don't have time to cook, so the Crock Pot is my friend. But then again so is Peanut Butter, Jelly and Bread :-]

We Went to Jackson!

Robert and I went to Jackson TN today. I had a doctor's appointment. Nothing serious, just that once a year trip that females have to take! ;) ; ) We also had to find Robert some shoes and buy a new Fax Machine for the office. Ours bit the dust and the faxes are hardly readable.

I'm thinking Arby's for lunch!! It was good Roast Beef and Potato Cakes. We went in Office Max to get the fax machine and I finally bought me a new Desk Chair. I have been using the same office chair for 7 years. It's about time for a new one!! Robert was a sweetie and put it together for me tonight!! It felt comfortable in the store and here at home I hope I like it at work.

24 HOURS WITHOUT INTERNET!!!OH MY!!

My Internet was not working when I got home yesterday. I checked all the wires, plugged and unplugged everything, check settings on my Pc and finally called Charter. We were having technical difficulties in our area. OK!! Get up this morning it is still not working. I go to work and call Charter about 1 or 2 this afternoon. Yes, the problem has been resolved and I need to check your modem. Everything checked out! Chase comes home and you guessed it NO Internet. I go by the Charter Office and they will be out this afternoon. OK. I come home and wait on a phone call that never comes. I decided to check all the wires again and low and behold I saw the light, and it was blinkin, on my modem that was not blinkin before. I could not get my computer turned on fast enough. Yep it is working. I don't know what I did. I did the same thing yesterday "Twice" and it did not work. So anyhoo it is working and we had a Hallelujah moment. I called Charter and found that I was scheduled for a service call... ON the 28th of July!!! I canceled it so if anyone needs that service call you can have it. Use to we were lost if the cable TV was out. We had One hundred channels to chose from last night, but we were lost without our Internet. Relying on all this technology can't be good. But what can we do about it??? Maybe there is a 12 Step Program??? Maybe we can take the 12 step program ONLINE????? NAH, that may not be a good idea???

My Momma and Addie

Momma came over tonight and had supper with us. I cooked a roast in my crock pot with celery soup. I roasted some potatoes, carrots, and onions in the oven, and fixed some slaw and rolls. I am so glad Momma is doing well. She has some heart trouble but, Dr. Corbin has been keeping her up and going with a very good quality of life. My Momma is the type if she can't get up and go, she would rather be in heaven. She is very active and still drives and lives by herself. She is very independent, wants to make her own way. I admire her for that. Robert and I try to help her, but she don't always want us to. My sweet son, Chase keeps her yard mowed for her. She does some sewing and mending for us. Oh, by the way she also sews and does mending for the public. Like hemming pants, putting in zippers etc. I don't think we have found anything that she can't fix or make!! She is so talented. I am the only daughter with three brothers and every time my Momma made me a new dress she made one just like it for my baby doll. I had the most stylish Barbie clothes, for my Barbies. Momma made all them too. I am very lucky to have Momma around and livin' so close to us. My Momma's middle name is Irene, as is mine, Kelly's and Addie's. There are four generations of us. Addie loves her so much, she calls her GIGI. Great Grandmother is a mouthful for a toddler.. This picture of them was taken on the fourth of July.. I love you Momma!!

Robert's Trip

Robert took a trip to Walterboro South Carolina to an Auction that one of our United Country offices was doing. This was a "Ballroom" Auction. This is where you rent a large room and auction off lots of different properties.. He rode his motorcycle on this trip. He loves to ride.. I worry about him but I put him and his safety in God's hand and pray he watches over him.. He left Wednesday and drove all the way, which is about a 12 hour drive. He attended the auction on Thursday and drove to the coast and got a whiff of the salty air. He said it made him think of me.. (We met on the gulf coast in Pascagoula MS. We spent lots of time on the beach.) He was going to be home on Saturday and take his time riding back and just enjoy the ride. But he got home about 8:30 last night. I was glad he got home early and it is a good thing. We had to call a plumber this morning. We had a water leak under the house... I worry about him riding but he is a very careful driver and watches out for the other drivers.. I am glad to have him home safe and sound once again.. He still has not got a chance to see Tootie. Maybe we will see her tonight or tomorrow... I love my Husband and Family soooo much!!!

Chase and His Gurlfriend

Chase has a new gurlfriend. Her name is Amanda. She lives over around Adamsville and that is where she goes to school. She seems really nice, she is still a little quiet but if she is around this crazy bunch that will change. It is 38 miles round trip from our house to hers. Chase said she lives in the boonies!! This coming from a kid who lives less than a half a mile from Main Street and McDonalds!!! If Chase has to cross the river that is the "Boonies" to him. I think they make a really cute couple HUH????

Tootie to the Doctor :(

My sweet grandbaby had to go to the doctor today. She has not been herself and if she is not happy and smilin' something is wrong. It looks like she is starting to get an ear infection. Dr. Jim said it was lookin' "Dusky" I think is the word Kelly used. It is probably not real red yet??? This baby is so good, that she is predictable!! She is my lil angel and Lord I love this baby so much. I just want to squeeze her and kiss her whole face!!! Well she is on antibiotic so she should be herself soon. Kelly had lots of ear infections when she was little. Keep her in your prayers.. The picture above is her High Chair when she is at my house...

My Sweet Tootie!!!

My sweet grandbaby just left, and she is not herself. She was really ill and that is not like her At All!! She is usually smiling and laughing all the time. We think it might be her teeth. She still has not cut her top teeth. It breaks my heart to see her like this. She is the sweetest baby. I hope those teeth come in soon. She is not running any fever. Kelly said she has pulled at her earrings a lot today. It might could be her ears. It is such a guessing game when they are this age and they can't come to you and tell you what is hurting..... Keep them in your prayers. Kelly has had a rough day at home with her. It is tiring when you have a toddler you cannot please because they are not feeling well. She is my Little Tootie. She did give me a kiss before she left = ]

It's Monday!

Well, it's Monday. It seems that Monday is always a crazy day. Gettin' out the door to work and trying to get everything caught up is a chore. Throw in a couple of closings and pending sale or two, plus the everyday stuff, you look up at the clock and it is time to go home. I guess that is one good thing about it, the day goes by real quick. I am thankful that we have a good business and good people to work with. I am really thankful that Robert and I get to work together everyday. Lots of Husbands and Wives could not do it. We have done it for so long we don't know any different!!! Well tomorrow is Tuesday and we will do it all over again. It is a good life!!!

My Wonderful Husband

My wonderful husband cooked supper tonight. I went to the grocery store and bought everything with really good intentions. By the time I got home I was not in the mood to cook. So my sweet husband grilled pork chops, fried okra, yams, and green beans and it was really yummy! I cleaned the kitchen and put everything in bowls to put in the fridge... Thank you sweetie!!

Uncle Chase

Uncle Chase and Addie. What can I say?? He loves this baby so much!! I have better pictures of the two of them together but this one is special. This was the 4th of July everyone had been swimming, Chase had went in to shower and change he was goin' to hang out with friends. He came outside and Addie held out those sweet little hands in a "Please hold me Uncle Chase" way. But what you need to know is Chase had on clean dry clothes and Addie was soaking wet from pool water and the little thing in her mouth was full of watermelon!! She had sticky watermelon juice all over her and running down both arms and her chin. Chase did not care! His baby niece wanted her Uncle and that is all that mattered... Now that is only an Uncle's Love!! What a sweet son I have. He is probably the only junior last year that had baby pictures in the front of his binders. He ask me every so often if I had updated pictures of Addie so he could put new ones in front of his binders!! Addie loves him so much. When she comes over and he is not in the room she will go to the end of the hall and holler for him. She calls him Bubba!!!

Lazy Mornin'

We have had a lazy mornin'. It is 11:ooam and we are still drinkin' coffee and watchin' the news. I need to get up and get to the grocery store. I am still trying to figure out this blogging. I am trying to get it looking good. Chase is mowing. He was suppose to get it done yesterday but he spent the day with his Girlfriend Amanda. She seems really nice. We have three riding mowers and still don't have one that halfway runs. Two of them has been in the shop in the last month!! I think it is time for a new one. We could have bought a new one for the $$$'s we have spent on fixing these we have!!

Hot Dogs and Chili!!

We had family over tonight for Hot Dogs and Chili! Kelly, Tony, Addie, my Mom, Chase and his girlfriend Amanda and of course Robert and Me. Tony and Addie went swimming and the rest of us stayed in the house where it was cool. We had Chocolate Pie for dessert and we got to set and visit. Addie walked around all night with my phone talkin' like she knew exactly who she was talkin' to!! She is learning to count. It is so funny she is learning new words and learning to count and she still has Only TWO Teeth. Her top teeth are being very stubborn about coming in. She is such a good baby and minds really well. Kelly always insist on picking up the toys that Addie has scattered while she is here. I don't mind them laying around. It has been such a long time since my floor was scattered with toys. Well I am fixing to call and check on Chase, he took Amanda home and the weather might get stormy!
