Finally a Fire in the Fireplace!!!!

We finally built a fire tonight for the first time this year. This is where we will spend most of our time in the winter time. We have had firewood for more than 2 months and was not expecting it to get this cold this soon. A wood fireplace is messy, but I have a sweeper I keep charged all the time to clean up any bark or wood chips that Robert might drop bringing in the wood. But that is alright because we love a roaring fire and the crackling of the fire.
We have a flat screen TV and love to build a fire and relax. Robert and I had to go to Adamsville and look at a house and we stopped at Jack's and picked up a couple of Chicken Dinners, came home, built a fire, and had supper in front of the fireplace.

How Romantic is that????

Well, Here is a New Low!! This is the home of a gay couple in West LA and this is "Halloween Decorations"! Some neighbors have complained, but the local police says there is no laws being broken. Can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot here?? Then it would be a hate crime, but somehow this is OK.
This is so sad that our country has come to doing things like this. Please pray for our country and some of the sad people in it!!!

John McCain spent 5 & half years in a POW camp being beaten and tortured for my freedoms. The least I can do is give him my vote and 4 Years!!!

God Bless America!!!

An Example of "Redistribution of the Wealth!!"

Notice to All Employees
As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:
1. All sales people will be pooling their sales commissions into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are underachieving a "fair shake."
2. All hourly employees will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst yourselves. This will help those who are "too busy for overtime" to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.
3. All top management will now be referred to as "the government." We will not participate in this "pooling" experience because the law doesn't apply to us.
4. The "government" will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard "for the good of all."
5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's "good to spread the wealth." Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more "patriotic."
6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to
nice looking hair?) !!!
If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.
As a small business, we WILL be the victim of an Obama Presidency.I don't know about you, but I have not worked My Butt off to get to where I am at, so the government can come along and take my money and give it to whoever they think needs it.
Robert and I are very generous to certain local charities and if we are taxed anymore we will not be able to give to the charities of our choice.

My Grandbaby isn't feeling well......

My lil Toots is not herself...She has Allergies(we think) she is sneezin and stopped up. She is not running fever(thank goodness) Kelly took her to the Doc yesterday and he has given her some eye drops. Her eyes are red and swollen and matted up.... They do look better today though.

It could also be teething. She has cold symptoms when she is teething. Cindy (Tony's Mom) said that Tony done this when he was little. Keep her in your prayers, Kelly and Tony too. It seems like here lately it has been one thing right after another. Maybe when this weather decides what it is going to do it will be better for Tootie!!!

Christmas Countdown!!!!

Well, It will be here before you know it. Christmas, is what I am talking about. It has been so much more fun since Tootie has been born. I have already finished (almost) her Christmas, but she is the only one I have bought anything for as of now. The weather is getting cooler and we have firewood out the wazoo and can't wait for it to get cold enough (inside...we have lots of insulation) to build a roaring fire. We will put the tree in the sunken living room where the fireplace is and that is where we spend most of our time in the winter.
I have added a counter on my blog, counting the days to Christmas. Don't let it sneak up on you like it does me Every Year!!! Well, I've got to get to work, and make some $$$$'s so I can finish my Christmas shopping.

Monday Menu Muddle!!

OK everyone, Monday Menu is getting harder.... I don't want to throw in the towel here. It has been great and makes mealtime a lot easier. But I am so running out of ideas for quick stuff. I come home from work sometimes and it is 6 or after and I am tired and really don't feel like fixing a PB&J let alone a big meal..

I have a few minutes in the morning to throw something together in the crock pot.

Sandwiches just don't sound good in the winter time. So I am looking for stuff that is quick and easy. If you have any ideas send them my Way!!
Leftover Pintos, Cornbread and Stewed Tater's
Potato Soup and Sandwiches

So Glad it's Friday! TGIF

I am so looking forward to this weekend. It has been a crazy week. My Mom and I have both been sick and I have not seen her since last Friday. I did not leave the house last Saturday or Sunday due to being sick. She is feeling better and so am I. I hope we can get together this weekend and have coffee and visit a little. We try to do this every weekend. I am so busy during the week and she sews for the public, volunteers at the Chamber on Fridays, and has started a computer class at the library on Thursdays and she is so excited about learning how to use a computer. I told her it is a lot easier than you think. I learned everything by trial and error with the help of my wonderful Brother who is a Computer Tech at a college in South Mississippi... He was very helpful and so patient with my tons of questions.

I hope to see Tootie this weekend too!!

Everyone enjoy your weekend and cherish time with family and friends!!!

Have you Seen My Grandbaby???

She's not missing, She's gorgeous!!! This baby is the light of my life(with the exception of her Baw Baw) If I go a couple of days without seeing her I start having withdrawals..... She is such an angel. She has learned to laugh on cue and it is a true Laugh. She is learning something new everyday. She just turned 17 months and has finally gotten two more teeth. This gives her a total of six. These two teeth did not come in the order of how most babies get their teeth, Oh no, Tootie had to do it her own way.. These are bottom jaw teeth... I have a feeling this is the first of many of her doing it "her way"!!! I have to say that she comes by it honestly. Kelly was such a joy and so smart, But, She had a mind of her own.. The apple don't fall far from the the tree????
But hey, that is Ok, she is perfect in every way and I would not change one thing about her. There is not anything I would not do for this baby, and yes that includes "Walking thru Hell with Gasoline Drawers On!!"
And this Child Loves her Daddy! My Mom said her world comes together when her Daddy walks thru the door!! Tony is such a good Daddy and I think his world comes together when he walks thru the door and sees Addie(and Kelly too)!!
Well I have rambled long enough about my Precious Angel.. Keep her and all of my family in your Prayers.
God Bless Our Country........

Homecoming Parade!!

We all went to the Chamber (where my Mom volunteers on Friday) and waited for the parade to come by. Mom, Kelly, Tony, Addie, Robert and myself stood out in front of the Chamber and yelled and cheered as all the seniors came by. This is such an exciting time for the HCHS seniors. I can't believe that Chase will be graduating in 7 short months. I am sad and happy all at the same time. This is my Baby, and he is fixing to be out in the world. It can be an ugly place sometime. But he is a good boy with lots of compassion for other people and I think with the Lord's help he will be just fine. Mom and Dad will be around for him too.

Well, here I go ramblin' on....

Chase cleaned on his car late into the night Thursday and left the house at 6:30 Friday morning to clean on it again. He wanted it spit shined for the Parade. It looked good.

Robert just got back from a Road Trip on his Motorcycle. He, and two friends went into East TN, Ashville, NC and Helen GA. They had a great time. They road the Tail of the Dragon, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherahola Skyway, Clingman's Dome. These are unknown to most of us unmotorcycle riders. They had a great time.

The Pink Motel is a whole other story. They stopped in to get a room, not knowing that everything in these rooms are pink. Right down to the sheets. Three motorcycle guys sharing a room at the Pink Motel. I am sure they got talked about after they left the registration desk. LOL

They left early Sunday Morning and got back last Wednesday. They had trouble getting gas in GA. They finally got it but had to set in line for a while.

I am glad he is home safe and sound. I worry about him riding, but he loves it. I like for someone to go with him. I worry less if he is not alone.

With Winter on the way, he usually does not ride as much. It's just too cold sometimes. But this time of year is perfect riding time...

We finally got some rain and it looks like we have more on the way. It has been so dry. We have had some cooler weather move in, but it did not bring us any much needed rain. Thank goodness it has not been bad hot. When the weather does this our fall colors don't look as good. The trees dry and the leaves fall off before they can change colors!! Maybe with the rain, everyone will quit sneezing and needing antihistamines!! It has been worse for me this year than I can remember. Chase has been getting up every morning coughing and stopped up. Addie has had and runny nose too. But hers could be teething. She has also had fever!! It will soon be time for flu shots!! Everyone Roll Up your Sleeves and go get'um!!!

Menu Plan Monday!!

Well, the weather here has turned a little cooler. That does not mean we won't still get some 80 degree days. The cooler weather is makin me want soups and stews. We have a wood burning fireplace that we love and we have had wood delivered and are chompin' at the bits for it to get cold enough to build a fire!!! I can't wait. I love sittin' by a roarin fire(it's gotta be wood burning...I know it's messy but Oh so worth it).... In the winter, I can't wait to get home and get my PJ's on just so I can set by the fire and watch TV!!!
Kelly tried a new stew recipe that she found on Organizing Junkie Blog . I went down there today to sit with her and Tootie, she is still one handed and we had this stew for lunch and it was Yummo(as Rachel Ray would Say)
I have made my grocery list and the stew will be made one night this week!!!
Kelly is doing better with her wrist surgery. It is very stiff and still sore.
Well enough yackin' let's get on with the Menu!!
Hamburgers and Chips
Leftover Stew
BLT'S & Chips and Dip
Eat out or order out!!
Breakfast for Supper

If you have been reading my blog, you know about our dog Patch with cancer and we had to have the vet come and put him to sleep.

Well, A puppy showed up at my daddy-in-law's house less than a week after Patch was put to sleep and he already has 3 dogs and is taking care of two more that belongs to his grand daughter. This dog was black and white just like Patch. Pop kept thinking someone would come and claim him, but they never did. Robert told him if no one came to get him in a week or so we would take him. Well the Lord works in mysterious ways. Chase went to get him and he named him Echo. I don't know where he got the name from but this puppy has healed Chase's heart. He is so much fun and has done put Blaze(our other dog) in his place. This is just a puppy only a few months old. But he guards food like a Pit Bull....He will growl and Blaze will just back away. He sleeps by the food bowl.... to make sure Blaze stays away! We are fixing to purchase another bowl and separate them. Echo can't be two places at one time!!! LOL:-] Chase took him to the vet and got all of his shots and medicine that he needs.
I will try to keep everyone updated with news and pictures as he grows!!
It is a wonderful life and we live in the greatest Country in the world. God Bless America!!!
